DURATION OF RETREATS
At Cheval Escapes, our retreats are designed to adapt to your rhythm, your pace, and your intentions. Whether you’re seeking a brief reset or a deeper immersion into equestrian life and the Normandy countryside, each stay is carefully curated to feel unhurried, personal, and restorative. We typically offer 3-day, 5-day, and 7-day retreats, with the flexibility to tailor experiences within each duration.
MEALS & LODGING
Guests stay in carefully curated cottages designed for comfort, simplicity, and rest. Each retreat includes a complimentary Argentine-style barbecue experience, enjoyed in a relaxed outdoor setting. For those seeking a more bespoke culinary experience, a private chef can be arranged for the duration of your stay at an additional cost.
RIDER REQUIREMENTS
For riding retreats, guests must be able to walk, trot, post, steer, and stop independently, and feel confident riding within a group. While prior experience is required, it is perfectly fine to be a little rusty — sessions are adapted to allow riders to ease back into rhythm.
Beginner-friendly services are available upon request, and guests are always welcome to enjoy the retreat without riding at all, focusing instead on rest, exploration, and the wider Cheval Escapes experience.
GROUP SIZE
To keep the retreats personal and intimate, we are limiting retreats to 6-10. This way we can focus on individual needs while in a group setting.
TEAM
All retreats are hosted by experienced equestrian professionals who prioritise safety, confidence, and respect for both horse and rider.
