Hi, I'm Vanessa!
Cheval Escapes was created from a love of retreats and thoughtfully curated experiences that invite you to slow down, reconnect, and feel present. I have always been drawn to places where time feels unhurried and where the experience is shaped as much by atmosphere as by activity.
This passion naturally blends with my family's life around horses. We ride, care for them, and buy and sell them, with horses forming a central part of our everyday world. They are not an occasional pastime, but something deeply woven into how we live, host, and share the countryside with others.
Cheval Escapes brings these two worlds together. As English and French speaking hosts, we are based in the UK and work closely with our trusted French partners and suppliers to bring you an experience that is rooted in the very best of Normandy. Our retreats are intimate, calm, and carefully designed to adapt to each guest. Some come to ride and explore, others to rest, gather, and enjoy the setting. There is no pressure or expectation, only space to experience the retreat in your own way.
