Our vision is to create a peaceful space where people reconnect with nature, horses, and themselves.
We aim to inspire wellbeing, balance, and meaningful experiences in the Normandy countryside.

 At Cheval Escapes, our vision is rooted in care for the land, the horses, and the people who pass through it. Built on family heritage and local knowledge, we are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings while contributing positively to the community that sustains us.

We believe in working in harmony with nature, respecting animals as partners rather than assets, and creating experiences that feel thoughtful, ethical, and grounded. Collaboration, inclusivity, and shared learning sit at the heart of everything we do.

Cheval Escapes is a space where different backgrounds, stories, and skills are welcomed and valued. By fostering a calm, supportive environment, we aim to create meaningful connections between people, animals, and place  that extend well beyond the retreat itself.

 
Our commitment to horse welfare includes:

  • Working only with vetted, welfare-conscious stable partners
  • Limiting ride durations and group sizes to protect each horse
  • Ensuring horses have adequate rest between guest sessions
  • Choosing ethical horsemanship methods that are pressure-free and partnership-led
